All meeting agendas are posted 72 hours in advance of the meeting as required by the Open Meeting Laws. The City posts meeting minutes once approval of the minutes is obtained, which occurs at the next meeting.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The Lone Oak Economic Development Corporation exists to improve economic opportunities and quality of life for all residents of Lone Oak, Texas. Our vision is to expand and diversify the local tax base, create quality job opportunities for all levels of employment, encourage growth and development, and enhance Lone Oak’s quality of life as a desirable place to live, work, play, and grow. The EDC meets the first Monday of every month at 5:00 p.m. in the Civic Center.
PLANNING and ZONING
The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council on all applications for zoning, rezoning, site plans, platting, requests for specific use permits, and zoning ordinance amendments. Zoning is used to implement the land-use plan and allows the City to set aside specific areas for residential, commercial, industrial and other forms of development. The P&Z meets on an as-needed basis.
Before building or planning changes to your property, please call the City Secretary at 903-662-5116, ext. 203 to arrange a meeting at City Hall.
